"Putting the Newsletter on a Website" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-08 02:27:51

I'm sure this has been asked a hundred times but I just can't be to find what I'm looking for. I want to add our e-newsletter to our website but can only find "Add write Up Box" in the HTML label lists. How do I add our e-newsletter to our website for viewing??Amanda City of Portland. Maine CC has their own "Archive" page that you can create and link to it from your own website. I tried it but didn't like that the page was visually inconsistent with the be of my website (I use a common menu bar all across the left and of course it doesn't be on an external page like CC's archive). Here's how I did mine:1. Right-click on my newsletter decide "View obtain" to see the HTML2. Find the beginning of your newsletter. Easiest way is to search for "if you no longer wish to receive" - this is the unsubscribe tag CC puts above every issue.3. Find (Ctrl-F) the next instance of the text "<TABLE". Delete everything from the beginning of the HTML up to (but not including) the "<TABLE>" tag.4. sight the end of your newsletter in the HTML. For me right under the newsletter is a "Forward to a Friend" link so I just searched for that text.5. Search for the text "</TABLE" that text (Assuming Windows - Ctrl-F to Find select the "Up" direction enter "</TABLE" (without quotes) in the "Find What" box).6. Delete everything from the "</TABLE>" tag through to the end of the HTMLThis left me with the "meat" of the newsletter. I then just pasted it into my website (actually I use a database for that but essentially that's what the database does). Link to my newsletter archive is in my sig.
